Fair Trade seeks to transform the lives of poor  producers in the developing world by enabling them to use their skills and resources to trade their way out of poverty.

People who live in developing countries are not looking to the west for aid, what they really want, is what you and I take for granted.  They want the opportunity to be able to provide for their families, keep them well nourished and safe.

When you buy fair trade goods you can feel good knowing that you have made a positive difference to the lives of not only the people who have made your product but also to their families.

So think, you do have a choice - buy fair trade items whenever you have the opportunity.  If everyone did the same we could practically eradicate poverty from most developing countries.
